Summertime 2025 Festivals, Events & Markets in the Lower Mainland

Pushing on into June, barreling towards another beautiful summer here on the Lower Mainland, festival season is upon us once more. It’s that time of year for summertime food and culture festivals, markets, and other outdoor events.

From Vancouver to the Fraser Valley, you’ll find endless family-friendly entertainment under the late-Spring and summer sun. In this article, we’re highlighting some of the most iconic events of the summer:

 

Richmond Night Market

Celebrating its 25th year, the Richmond Market is an annual night market open on weekends from late April to mid October. For their 25th anniversary, the Richmond Night Market is unveiling the world’s first night market zipline that takes you on a 600-foot ride above the lights and crowds. There’s also happy hour all season long, where you’ll find drinks under $7 and food under $10.

Come enjoy over 500 global food options, 100 retail booths, bouncy castles, live performances, and endless fun.

 

Khatsahlano! Street Party

The Khatsahlano Street Party is Vancouver’s largest free music and arts festival. This year, the summertime favourite will be on July 5th, hosted on the streets of West 4th. There will be live performances, handmade art, great food, clothing, and family-friendly fun.

The theme for the 2025 Khatsahlano Street Party is ‘Camp Khats’, celebrating summertime nostalgia and the spirit of the wilderness.

 

Fair at the PNE

The PNE Fair is returning on August 16th and running through September 1st. All the classic fair rides, performances, games, and food will be there, plus live concerts at night from Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bleachers, Counting Crows, Meghan Trainor, and more.

The Pacific National Exhibition is a non-profit organization that has been hosting shows, exhibits, concerts, and their annual summer Fair since 1910. It’s an iconic Vancouver venue and an unmissable summertime event.

 

ScotFestBC: The BC Highland Games

The BC Highland Games celebrates Scottish heritage with traditional pipping, drumming, live music, highland dancing, Heavy Events, and more. The 128th Highland Games will be hosted at Town Centre Park in Coquitlam, right on the shores of Lafarge Lake.

The Games will be hosted on June 20th and 21st. Get your tickets in advance for $25 and experience one of the province’s most iconic events, and one of the largest of its kind in Western Canada.

 

Shipyards Night Market

The Shipyards Night Market takes place every Friday from May 16th to September 12th at North Vancouver’s iconic Shipyards. The Stage at Shipbuilders Square will host live music, plus there will be a pop-up beverage garden, many food trucks, and a splash park for kids.

The Market will be home to vibrant market stalls selling unique handmade goods, crafts, housewares, and delicious handmade food and treats.

 

Squamish Beer Festival

The Squamish Beer Festival is back for its 9th year in Canada’s adventure playground of Squamish. The beer fest will be featuring over 55 different breweries and cideries, but this event is about far more than beer. You’ll find wine, spirits, small-batch beverages and non-alcoholic options, plus mouthwatering food and live music performances.

 

Vancouver International Jazz Festival

Vancouver’s Jazz Fest has been hosted every summer in Vancouver since the 1980s, back when it was centred around Vancouver’s Co-op Radio community station. The Jazz Fest runs from June 20th to July 1st.

Greek Summerfest

The Greek Summerfest has been celebrating Greek heritage in Vancouver since 1987. For the 38th year, Greek Summerfest will be held from July 3-6 and 10-13 at 4541 Boundary Road in Vancouver.

The highlight of the Greek Summerfest is of course the delicious Greek food. It’s an incredible culinary experience that includes Greek favs like loukoumades (Greek donuts), souvlaki, BBQ lamb, and spanakopita.

 

Fort Langley Jazz & Arts Festival

The Fort Langley Jazz & Arts Festival is celebrating its 8th year in 2025, from July 24-27 on the charming streets of Fort Langley. This is your chance to experience world-class jazz music, art, and Indigenous Culture. There will be dynamic live performances from JUNO Award-winning blues acts, interactive workshops, and activities for all ages.

 

Vancouver Craft Beer Fest

The 2025 Vancouver Craft Beer Fest has over 150 beers for you to sample. Hosted at the PNE Fairgrounds on July 12th, this year’s festival is special because Wing Fest is joining the party, featuring some of BC’s top restaurants.

Along with beers and wings, there will be specialty chef pop-ups, ciders, natural wines, non-alcoholic options, and a live stage for internationally renowned artists. Get yourself pre-sale tickets before they increase to the regular price of $74.

 

RibFest Langley

After a super successful 2024 RibFest that saw 47,000 visitors, RibFest Langley is back in 2025 on August 15-17 at McLeod Athletic Park.
The world-famous ribbers will be there, plus there will be live entertainment, a massive KidZone, and a site-wide adult beverage service. Like always, entrance to the RibFest will be by donation, supporting service organizations and rotary service projects.
